Installing Brave Browser
To get started, download the Brave web browser from https://brave.com/download/. The browser is available for Windows, Linux, Android, macOS and iOS.
💡 TIP 💡
When installing Brave on Windows, you’ll get a User Account Control (UAC) prompt if you have UAC enabled. You can decline this prompt and proceed to install Brave with administrator privileges.
Ways to Earn BAT Crypto with Brave browser
1.) Notification ads
When using Brave on desktop, you’ll start to see notifcation ads appear like the one shown above. You can click the notification to go to the advertised website. You do not have to click the ad to earn BAT.
💡 TIP 💡
On mobile devices you can adjust your Brave browser app settings to enable ads to be shown even when the Brave app is not running.
2.) Ads in Brave browser News feed
Scroll through Brave News on the new tab page. Ad items will occasionally appear when scrolling through the news articles such as the one shown below.
💡 TIP 💡
Customise the news feed to show posts from the news sites and blogs that you regularly visit.
3.) Brave browser Sponsored Background Images
Sponsored background images will sometimes appear on the new tab page (try refreshing to make one appear). You can click the link in the lower-left part of the page to go to the ad page.
Sponsored background images will appear whether you have your new tab page set to normally show Brave backgrounds, your own background image or any of the other background image options. Just make sure you have ‘Show sponsored images‘ enabled as in the picture below.
Ways to Earn more BAT Crypto
1.) Increase ad notification frequency
Check your Rewards settings in Brave browser (brave://rewards/) to make sure you are receiving the maximum number of notification ads per hour. Currently, I have set this to ‘Up to 10 ads per hour‘, although I usually see far less notification ads than this per hour.
You can see a list of the ads you’ve received so far by clicking the ‘30-day ads history‘ text.
2.) Remember to check the New Tab page in Brave browser
Open the new tab page (Ctrl+T) to see the sponsored background image and then scroll down to see ads in the Brave news feed.
3.) Disable auto-contribute BAT (optional)
Go to the Brave Rewards page in Brave browser to enable or disable this setting.
4.) Become a Brave Creator to Earn BAT from Your Content
Become a Brave Creator to earn BAT from your website, YouTube Channel, Reddit posts or Twitter posts. See our blog post for all the details on how to verify your website and social media channel with Brave Creators.
How Much Money Can I Earn From Brave browser?
Currently, I’m getting about 18 BAT per month (US$5.00) with Brave installed on two devices – Windows desktop and Android mobile. Other Brave browser users report earning similar amounts on Reddit: 4 months of bat rewards.
I usually receive 0.025, 0.01 or 0.005 BAT per ad that I get. Most of my ad views are featured images and they also give me the most BAT per ad, 0.025, on Windows and on Android.
